The New Jersey Hall of Fame has announced its Class of 2026, recognizing 13 individuals and groups whose achievements have left a lasting mark on entertainment, sports, public service and other fields. Among this year’s inductees are Grammy Award-winning singer SZA, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band The Rascals, former New Jersey Gov. Christine Todd Whitman and Pro Football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor. The inductees were selected from a field of 60 nominees following a statewide public vote.
The Hall of Fame said the Class of 2026 reflects the state’s broad influence across multiple industries as the nation marks the 250th anniversary of American independence. “The Class of 2026 showcases the diverse talent, resilience, and spirit of achievement that define the great state of New Jersey,” said Chairman Jon F. Hanson. “Each inductee, through their creativity, leadership, and pursuit of excellence, has made impactful contributions that continue to inspire future generations.”
The remaining members of the class include journalist Steve Adubato Jr., businessman John Scher, philanthropist and humanitarian Gail McGovern, sports broadcaster Jim Nantz, former NFL wide receiver Wayne Chrebet, entrepreneur Barbara Corcoran, scientist Dr. Gregory Olsen, civil rights pioneer Lucy Stone and educator James West. Hall officials noted the honorees represent accomplishments spanning the arts, science, business, sports and public service.
The inductees will be celebrated during the 18th Annual New Jersey Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Sept. 24 at the Dream Live Performing Arts Center at American Dream in East Rutherford. Actor Danny DeVito is scheduled to host the event, with additional ticket information to be announced later. The Hall of Fame also plans year-round programming highlighting the accomplishments of the Class of 2026 alongside previous inductees.
