If you’re anything like me, you look back fondly on the early 90s when there was just so damn much good music to take in and to discover. Live was a band that had been around… but really didn’t burst on to the scene until they released “Throwing Copper” in 1994. I remember a buddy of mine growing up (who was a HUGE rock fan) made fun of me digging some of Live’s stuff. Why? Because he thought Ed Kowalczyk (frontman for Live) was kind of goofy in music videos that MTV was airing (ahhhh, the early 90s when the “M” still MEANT music television). Soon after… he actually LISTENED to the album and was like… “Oh yeah… now I see what you mean about these guys.” That was 25 years ago. July 19th Live is releasing a 25th anniversary edition of that album with three bonus tracks including “Hold Me Up” which you can listen to below. It’s 90s era Live… which is a damn fine thing if you ask me!
