New Ozzy, and a new show on Z92

Ozzy’s new album “Ordinary Man” was supposed to be out this month, but now it appears February 21st is when we will have it in our hands (or on your device if you go the digital route).  However, we now have the TITLE track to the album.  It’s a ballad that features Sir Elton John on piano and on vocals for the second verse, as well as guitar work once again from Slash.  In the song Ozzy seems to be coming to terms with growing old and looking back on his life in the spotlight.  He addresses the fact he has had a pretty wild (and sometimes drug filled) past with the following line:

Yes, I’ve been a bad guy
Been higher than the blue sky
And the truth is I don’t wanna die an ordinary man
I’ve made momma cry
Don’t know why I’m still alive
Yes, the truth is I don’t wanna die an ordinary man

Pretty heavy (though not musically heavy) stuff from the Prince of Darkness.  Take a listen to this new track below this article.

Speaking of new music… Every Sunday (starting this Sunday!) we will devote the 9pm hour to nothing but new rock.  This includes new stuff from established artists like Ozzy (although we may go with one of his heavier new songs from this upcoming album), Stone Temple Pilots, and Tool.  It will also include up and coming artists you may not have heard of.  Join me Sundays at 9pm for Fresh Meat!
