I want to come clean about something. I’m rarely (knock wood) sick. I can count on one hand the number of sick days I have taken in the almost 21 years I have worked in radio. On top of that… I hate needles. HATE them. Because of all of this… I never used to get the yearly flu shot. It seemed like a waste of time since I don’t get sick. I was wrong though. Getting a flu shot every year is extremely important. I get a flu shot because it’s not just about ME. It’s about my newborn daughter. It’s about my elderly parents and in laws (don’t tell them I called them elderly). It’s about friends I may have who don’t have a strong immune system. If I carry something, and pass it along to them, it could have DIRE consequences. Have you gotten your flu shot yet? Do it. Go see my friends at Hy-Vee. You can get them from the comfort of your own car right now with their drive up flu shot clinic at every single Hy-Vee! Those take place on the following days:
MONDAY 7 AM TO 11 AM
THURSDAY 3 PM TO 7 PM
SATURDAY 10 AM TO 2 PM
Go get a flu shot. It’s not just about you! Keep your friends and family safe!
DISCLAIMER: I’m a paid spokesperson for Hy-Vee. That does NOT diminish the importance of this message one bit though.
